Proud of the workers in the era of integration

In the dynamic flow of industrialization, modernization, and international integration, the Vietnamese working class is increasingly affirming its pioneering role in the cause of nation construction and development.

In Dong Nai, the workforce of laborers has demonstrated resilience and intelligence, quickly adapting to modern technology and digital transformation in enterprises. Many workers take the lead in emulation movements, driving business development and contributing to the province’s overall socio-economic growth.

Mastering modern technology

Whereas in the past, workers were mainly associated with manual labor, today they have mastered numerous production lines and accessed advanced technologies in factories and enterprises. Many workers are not only highly skilled but also quick to embrace modern technologies and digital skills, meeting the increasingly high demands of enterprises. More importantly, their sense of responsibility, initiative, creativity, discipline, and aspiration for progress is a source of pride.

Nguyen Thanh Tung, Head of the Maintenance Department at Pouchen Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Bien Hoa Ward), is one of Dong Nai’s outstanding workers who attended the 2025 Creative Workers’ Festival organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2). At the event, Tung had the honor of contributing his innovation: a Mold for Folding and Gluing Shoe Boxes.

Speaking about his innovation, Nguyen Thanh Tung explained: Previously, the process of assembling shoe boxes was done entirely by hand, which was time-consuming and prone to mistakes due to repetitive actions. Faced with this, he came up with the idea of a Mold for Folding and Gluing Shoe Boxes. The innovation reduces manual operations, improves precision, increases folding speed, reduces technical errors, and provides greater comfort for workers. It has helped cut handling time by more than 50%, boosted packaging productivity by 1.5 times, and generated significant financial savings for the enterprise, while also reducing defective boxes and saving materials.

Doan Van Ut Chinh, working in the Automation Department of Pousung Vietnam Co., Ltd. (An Vien Commune, Dong Nai Province), is another example of innovation and creativity, making significant contributions to enterprise development. His innovation — “Improving the process by replacing fabric labels with the method of printing label content directly on the smooth surface of shoe spikes” — has been highly appreciated by the enterprise. His innovation was also selected by the Dong Nai Confederation of Labor to be showcased at the 2025 National Creative Workers’ Festival.

Sharing about the benefits, Chinh said: In the label sewing stage, workers often faced problems with seams collapsing or stitching covering the printed content. From this, he developed the idea of printing label content directly on the smooth surface of the shoe spikes instead of sewing fabric labels. This innovation has saved nearly 7,000 working hours per month and over 18,000 USD per month.

Pioneering in production

Proud of their tradition of diligence and creativity, today’s workers in Đồng Nai carry within themselves the aspiration to integrate and the readiness to affirm their value in the labor market. From factories to modern industrial zones, the image of the hardworking, creative worker has become a beautiful symbol, making an important contribution to building and developing a prosperous and civilized province.

According to the Provincial Labor Confederation, Đồng Nai currently has more than 1.3 million workers, of which over 700,000 are directly employed in enterprises. This is a young, enthusiastic workforce, ready to absorb new knowledge and technologies. They are an important driving force in attracting foreign investment and improving labor productivity. In many sectors, workers have mastered modern production lines and actively participate in patriotic emulation movements. Among them, the movement “Good and Creative Labor” has generated tens of thousands of initiatives each year, bringing enterprises benefits worth thousands of billions of đồng. Many ordinary workers have become “golden hands” in production.

Speaking at the 2025 National Creative Workers’ Festival held on August 15, Permanent member of the Party Central Committee's Secretariat Tran Cam Tu emphasized: “Throughout the 80-year journey of nation construction and defense, the working class and the Trade Union have continuously grown mature, proven resilient in struggle, creative in labor, and made great and enduring contributions to the Party’s revolutionary cause. Entering the renewal era, the working class must continue to affirm its pioneering role and master modern technology.

Do Thi Thuy Kieu, Chairwoman of Advanced Multitech Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Nhon Trach Commune), said: “Every day, thousands of products completed by the enterprise bear the important contributions of workers’ hands and minds. Accompanying the development of the enterprise, workers are not only the direct production force but also a pillar in implementing sustainable development goals. They are also pioneers in the innovation movement, bringing great benefits to enterprises. In 2024 alone, the company recorded 378 innovation projects and technical improvements from workers, helping to save costs and increase productivity.”

Alongside workers’ efforts, Trade Unions at all levels have always been a firm support, caring for both material and spiritual well-being. Programs such as Member Welfare, Skill Development for Workers, and Trade Union Meals have brought practical benefits, helping workers feel secure and attached to their enterprises. Moreover, emulation movements have been strongly launched, becoming a driving force for workers to contribute enthusiastically, affirming their resilience and intelligence in production.

According to Bui Thi Bich Thuy, Standing Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial Confederation of Labor: “The contributions of Dong Nai workers in recent years are proof of their efforts and intellectual dedication across all fields. In the coming time, Trade Unions at all levels will continue to innovate emulation and commendation tasks, focusing on honoring and replicating exemplary models in labor and production. This will spread motivation and inspire workers to study hard, improve productivity, and contribute to achieving the socio-economic development goals of the province.”
