Enterprises and educational institutions focused their discussions on workforce training coordination to serve Long Thanh International Airport. Accordingly, colleges and universities in Dong Nai are already offering many training programs aligned with the recruitment needs of aviation enterprises. However, to meet hiring standards, students need further training in soft skills and improved foreign language competence. For specialized skills in the aviation industry, newly recruited employees need to have additional training provided by the enterprises themselves.

Schools and enterprises also put forward several recommendations and feedback on the draft resolution of the Provincial People’s Council regarding policies for training human resources to serve Long Thanh International Airport in the 2026–2030 period.

According to Le Truong Son, Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai Provincial People’s Committee, Long Thanh International Airport is a major international hub in the region, requiring a large workforce. Therefore, workforce training for Long Thanh International Airport must meet the needs of not only the upcoming operational phase but also long-term development.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee also requested the Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) to serve as the focal point, coordinating with Dong Nai Newspaper, Radio and Television to develop a long-term cooperation program for workforce supply. In the immediate term, he suggested that Dong Nai Newspaper, Radio and Television open dedicated sections, columns, and features on workforce supply, providing regular updates to help employees stay informed and choose suitable jobs.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Le Truong Son emphasized: Dong Nai ranks 9th nationwide in terms of area, 5th in population, and 4th in economic scale. In the coming time, the province’s economy will continue to grow even faster. Therefore, colleges and universities must be ready to provide the necessary human resources for the upcoming period.

The Vice Chairman also urged enterprises and schools to take the initiative and work closely together in workforce training. The Department of Education and Training will act as the focal point to connect and create an information-sharing group to promote training efforts and ensure targets are met. Dong Nai province will also introduce appropriate support policies.

Regarding employees’ foreign language proficiency, in order to meet this requirement, the Vice Chairman instructed the Department of Education and Training to submit to the Provincial People’s Committee, by October, a proposal for a specialized policy that goes beyond current regulations to improve foreign language skills for students. If necessary, the department should draft a project or resolution to be submitted to the Provincial People’s Council for consideration.
