Promoting the role of local hamlets as the “extended arm” in building a more developed Xuan Loc commune

On August 22, Nguyen Thi Cat Tien, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairwoman of the People’s Council of Xuan Loc Commune, Dong Nai Province, chaired a working session with officials and residents of seven hamlets, including Tho Binh, Tho Tan, Tho Phuoc, Tho Chanh, Tho Trung, Tho Loc, and Tho Hoa, to review the implementation of tasks over the past eight months and discuss orientations and tasks for the remaining months of 2025. These hamlets previously belonged to the former Xuan Tho Commune and have now been merged into the newly established Xuan Loc Commune.

At the meeting, representatives of the hamlets reported on the results achieved during the past eight months, notably the development of agricultural production applying scientific and technical advances and continued strengthening of rural infrastructure. Along with that, many roads have been paved with concrete and installed with lighting systems; and landscape improvement have been made under the “bright – green – clean – beautiful” model.

Some hamlets have built and been recognized as exemplary residential areas; the movement “All People Unite to Build a Cultural Life” has been widely embraced by the people. National defense and security have been maintained, with many self-management models proving effective. Party building and the admission of new Party members have seen positive progress. At the same time, the hamlets raised several proposals related to irrigation, rural transportation, infrastructure, environmental sanitation, and equipment for local facilities.

Speaking at the meeting, Nguyen Thi Cat Tien, Secretary of the Party Committee of Xuan Loc Commune, acknowledged and commended the achievements of the hamlets in recent months. The commune leadership requested hamlet-level Party cells to promptly implement the Resolution of the 1st Congress of the Party Committee of Xuan Loc Commune, 2025–2030 term, to all officials, Party members, and residents. At the same time, Party Cell Secretaries should coordinate with the Fatherland Front Working Committees of the hamlets to review and strengthen the personnel of residential groups, while promoting their role as the “extended arm” of the Party Committee and local government in timely understanding the aspirations of the people, thereby contributing to building an increasingly developed Xuan Loc Commune.
