Promoting the pioneering role of Party members in enterprises

In the workers’ movement and trade union activities, a considerable number of Trade Union officials are not only exemplary Party members but also shining examples of responsibility, political bravery, and dedication to the legitimate rights of workers.

Those exemplary individuals have been spreading a spirit of responsibility and dedication, affirming the quality of grassroots Trade Union officials and Party members in the new era.

Building firm trust with workers

These days, Nguyen Thi Hoa, Chairwoman of the grassroots Trade Union of Quadrille Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Amata industrial park, Long Binh ward), is always present by the company’s internal loudspeaker to help raise the workers’ awareness of the historical significance and great value of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2. With her inspiring voice and creative working spirit, Hoa’s and the grassroots Trade Union’s activities receive strong support and enthusiastic response from the workers.

Nguyen Thi Hoa said: As Chairwoman of the grassroots Trade Union, and also a Party member, she always prioritizes disseminating policies to workers. Especially during the country’s major holidays, she spends time studying history and carefully preparing writings about the significance of events to raise the workers’ awareness in a systematic, easy-to-understand, and memorable way.

“Through Party cell activities as well as studying labor laws, I have gained more knowledge to communicate with workers. Additionally, this helps raise the employees’ political awareness, foster patriotism, national pride, and their sense of responsibility” - Hoa shared.

In addition to boosting propaganda work and emulation movements, Hoa and the grassroots Trade Union Executive Committee stay closely connected to workers’ lives, organizing practical care activities and encouraging members and workers to accompany enterprises in production development. Specifically, their activities include giving gifts to all workers across the company during holidays and Lunar New Year festivals, visiting workers in difficult circumstances or suffering from serious illness,… Recently, the grassroots Trade Union successfully organized a “Trade Union Meal” worth 70,000 VND per portion, bringing more joy to the workers across the company.

At Elma Vietnam Industrial Co., Ltd. (Nhon Trach commune), Secretary of the Party cell and Chairwoman of the grassroots Trade Union Vo Thi Xuan Hang is affectionately called by members as “the elder sister of workers.” Besides fulfilling her professional duties well and setting an example in activities, Hang also drives emulation movements to grow strongly in the enterprise.

“As Secretary of the Party cell, I must set an example for everyone to believe in and follow. And as a Trade Union official, I must be closer, listen to and share with the workers,” - Hang confided.

With that in mind, Vo Thi Xuan Hang always innovates and creates in her work, placing the interests of workers first. Thanks to this, all of her activities and those of the grassroots Trade Union receive the support of the corporate owner.

According to Hang, since the company’s establishment, its production and business activities and the lives and jobs of workers have remained stable. To achieve this, apart from the solidarity of the workforce, the Party cell and grassroots Trade Union have contributed significantly by building a bridge between the employees and employer. Hang herself is a positive source of inspiration, motivating Party members and workers to spread a spirit of responsibility in their work.

Stabilizing production in enterprises

To balance professional work, Party-building tasks, and Trade Union activities in enterprises, many Trade Union officials have spent years studying to meet practical demands.

Secretary of the Party cell and Chairman of the grassroots Trade Union of Tokin Electronics Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Long Binh ward), Phan Toi Tho Hiep, has made great efforts to overcome difficulties, affirming his political bravery to build a strong Party cell and grassroots Trade Union in the enterprise.

Hiep said: The company’s Party cell was established in 2008. Since then, it has played a core role in leading and guiding unions to operate effectively, promoting emulation movements for stable production and taking care of workers’ lives.

“The establishment and development of Party cells at foreign direct investment (FDI) enterprises is an important task to ensure workers’ legal rights and benefits; at the same time, it helps build harmonious and stable labor relations,” Hiep shared.

According to Hiep, the advantage of being a Trade Union official and Party member is in negotiating and signing collective labor agreements, participating in monitoring the implementation of wage, bonus, and working condition policies more effectively. This creates a foundation for Trade Unions to become an “extended arm” to protect workers’ rights. When workers feel heard and protected, they are more motivated to stay committed and dedicate themselves in the long run, thereby contributing to enhancing labor productivity and creating value for the enterprise.

With high sense of responsibility, Trade Union officials who are Party members in enterprises have affirmed their role as the “nucleus” at the grassroots level, helping the workers’ movement develop sustainably while also playing a vital role in Party development efforts.

At Advanced International Multitech Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Nhon Trach commune), the Party cell was established in 2014 with 4 Party members and now its membership has grown to 17. When the Party cell was newly formed, Do Thi Thuy Kieu, Chairwoman of the company’s grassroots Trade Union, was appointed as Secretary of the Party cell. Over the past 11 years, the Party cell has operated effectively, consistently fulfilling its annual tasks excellently. The Party cell leads unions in the enterprise to stabilize production and business activities and improve workers’ income and lives.

According to Kieu, under the leadership of the Party cell, Trade Union activities became systematic, well fulfilling the function of representing the voice and protecting the rights of workers. In her role, she always pays attention to answering questions and promptly communicating policies to workers, thereby contributing to affirming the core role of Party members in Trade Union activities. Thanks to her dedication, workers’ trust in the Party and Trade Union organizations has been further strengthened.

These exemplary individuals have proven that when Trade Union officials are Party members, the strength of the organization is multiplied, workers’ voices are heard, and their rights are protected in a practical and effective way. In many enterprises, officials who are Party members are always regarded as the core force, playing an important role in connecting the Party organization with workers.
