On the afternoon of August 7, Dr. Vo Van Ly, Vice Rector of Dong Nai University, announced that 401 students from the university are receiving financial support for living expenses under Decree 116/2020/NĐ-CP, issued by the Government on September 25, 2020. The Decree sets out policies to support tuition fees and cost-of-living expenses for students of teacher training institutions.

Specifically, the beneficiaries are pedagogical students from 11th term (between 2021 and 2025), and they enrolled in various faculties of Mathematics Education, Physics Education, Chemistry Education, Literature Education, History Education, Preschool Education, and Primary Education. All of these recipients graduated from their high schools as of July 2025.

The living allowance is calculated based on the actual number of study months at the university of up to 40 months for the entire course duration—with a monthly support amount of 3,630,000 VND. Accordingly, each eligible student could receive up to 145.2 million VND in total support.

To facilitate the disbursement process, Dong Nai University has asked all listed students to fill their personal information into the school’s student management system (including the student’s own bank account numbers, account holder names, and bank names) by August 11, 2025. They are also required to visit the university in person to verify their banking information.

Previously, these students had applied for financial support at the start of their course. Their applications were approved by Dong Nai University and endorsed by the provincial Department of Education and Training, the Department of Finance, and finally approved by the Provincial People's Committee for budget allocation.
