Nearly 500 doctors, medical staff, soldiers, and residents participate in voluntary blood donation

On August 22, the Dong Nai Provincial Red Cross Association, in coordination with the Blood Transfusion Center of Cho Ray Hospital (Ho Chi Minh City) and the University Medical Shing Mark Hospital (Long Hung ward, Dong Nai province), organized a voluntary blood donation program under the theme “One Drop of Blood – Millions of Hearts.”

The event drew nearly 500 participants, including doctors, nurses, officials and employees working at the University Medical Shing Mark Hospital, soldiers, students, workers, and local residents across Dong Nai province. Following screening examination and completion of other required procedures, the organizers collected 413 units of blood, surpassing the planned target of 400 units.

According to the voluntary blood donation schedule, from now until the end of 2025, the Provincial Red Cross Association will continue to coordinate with units to organize nearly 60 blood donation drives with the next one scheduled to take place on August 27 at Thong Nhat General Hospital.
