At the program, 66 officers and soldiers from professional units and local public security forces were commended as advanced role models in the “For National Security” emulation movement for the 2020-2025 period.

Police officers devoted to the nation and the people

As one of the advanced role models in the “For National Security” emulation movement of the Provincial Public Security for the 2020-2025 period, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thai Binh, Captain of the Investigation Team for Crimes of Illegal Drug Trafficking and Transportation, the Drug-related Crimes Investigation Police Division (PC04) under the Provincial Public Security discussed his work, dedication, and contributions to combating and preventing drug-related crimes in the province.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thai Binh, during the process of fighting against drug-related crimes, particularly in significant cases, the police force encountered numerous challenges and invested considerable time. For example, in case file 1220Q, which aimed to dismantle a drug trafficking ring smuggling narcotics from central provinces and cities into Dong Nai at the end of 2020, the police arrested multiple suspects and seized over 70 kilograms of drugs.

Colonel Tran Anh Son, Deputy Director of the Provincial Public Security, emphasized that in the coming time, it is necessary to continue expanding advanced role models, strongly spreading their positive values throughout the force and among the people.

However, after the operation concluded, several individuals connected to the drug trafficking ring had not yet been apprehended. The investigative officers continued to track them persistently. In 2023, while dismantling another drug trafficking network, the officers identified a suspect linked to the case mentioned above and proceeded with the arrest.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thai Binh emphasized that in the context of the country's ongoing renewal, each officer and soldier must transform their thinking, awareness, and approach to work in a more positive manner, in addition to equipping themselves with knowledge, professional qualifications, and expertise. Every officer and soldier should not only bear responsibility toward the Fatherland and the people but also toward themselves and their daily responsibilities.

In another area of work and dedication to the cause of protecting national security and maintaining social order, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thi Kieu, Deputy Head of Loc Ninh Commune Police (Dong Nai Province), shared that she has held various positions throughout her career. Throughout her work, alongside challenges and pressures, there have also been numerous situations and stories that inspired officers and soldiers to fulfill their duties comprehensively.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thi Kieu recounted that during community outreach sessions on the “For National Security” movements, she and many other officers received the trust, affection, and support of residents. “The people place their trust in officers and share touching stories with us, which makes us realize that we must strive harder and devote ourselves more so as not to let them down,” she shared.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Kieu, officers engaged in propaganda work must build rapport and maintain a friendly, approachable presence among the people, thereby enhancing the spirit and strength of the community in preventing and combating crime, contributing to maintaining security and order in the locality.

Continuing to replicate advanced role models

Speaking at the exchange and commendation ceremony honoring advanced role models in the “For National Security” emulation movement for the 2020-2025 period, organized by the Provincial Public Security, Colonel Tran Anh Son, Deputy Director of the Provincial Public Security, emphasized that the event not only honors and recognizes typical and advanced collectives and individuals within the police force but also serves as a forum to inspire and evoke the spirit of patriotic emulation, as well as the will of dedication and responsibility to serve the Fatherland and the people.

Through the moving stories and simple yet deeply humane and responsible actions shared by exemplary individuals, one gains a deeper appreciation of the vital role, profound significance, and far-reaching impact of emulation movements in the cause of safeguarding national security and maintaining social order and safety.

Colonel Tran Anh Son stated that the road ahead remains fraught with difficulties and challenges, as the task of ensuring security and order in the new context demands increasingly higher standards. The reform of the state administrative apparatus, including the police force, requires a comprehensive shift in mindset, approach, and implementation.

Therefore, officers and soldiers of the provincial public security consistently uphold a proactive strategic stance, promptly offering advice and implementing comprehensive and effective measures. These efforts aim to foster a society characterized by order, discipline, security, safety, and friendliness, making Dong Nai genuinely an appealing destination for both investors and tourists.

In addition, police units across departments and localities continue to innovate and enhance the quality of emulation movements, transforming them into an internal driving force, a self-motivated need for every officer and soldier. Each unit must serve as a role model, and every officer and soldier must wholeheartedly serve the people, thereby contributing to building the Dong Nai Provincial Police into an increasingly strong and capable force.
