More than 28 trillion VND disbursed for Component Project 3 of Long Thanh Airport

According to the Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV), total disbursement for Component Project 3, construction of essential facilities at Long Thanh International Airport (Phase 1), has now exceeded 28 trillion VND.

Component Project 3 includes 14 bidding packages, three of which have been completed: construction of the airport boundary fence covering 1,810 hectares (the Phase 1 construction site of Long Thanh Airport), site leveling and drainage, and piling for the passenger terminal.

Currently, the remaining 11 packages are being simultaneously implemented. The consortium of contractors for these packages has mobilized nearly 14,000 experts, engineers, workers, and laborers, along with around 3,000 pieces of equipment and machinery for construction works.

Component Project 3 of Long Thanh Airport Phase 1 involves investment in the construction of essential airport facilities, including two runways, one passenger terminal, and supporting infrastructure, all built in sync to serve the airport’s designed capacity of 25 million passengers and 1.2 million tons of cargo per year.

The project has a total investment of over 99 trillion VND. Component Project 3 began construction in early 2021. As directed by the Prime Minister, the project must be substantially completed by the end of 2025 and enter commercial operation in the first half of 2026, in coordination with other component projects of Long Thanh Airport Phase 1.
