On the morning of August 24, in La Nga commune, the Dong Nai Provincial Youth Union and the Provincial Vietnam Youth Federation jointly organized the launching ceremony for the Peak day of joint action for new rural development and the 5th Green Sunday of 2025.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Nguyen Tran Phuong Ha, Deputy Secretary of the Dong Nai Provincial Youth Union, stated that over the years, Youth Union branches at all levels across the province have widely implemented the movement "Dong Nai Youth join hands to build new rural areas" and the project "HCM Communist Youth Union's participation in environmental protection and climate change response."
After more than a decade of implementation, the movement and the project have attracted a large number of youth union members and young people, contributing significantly to the fulfillment of environmental criteria in the national new rural development program. These efforts have gradually improved the material and spiritual lives of rural communities. At the same time, the initiatives have highlighted the role of youth officials and members in raising public awareness, protecting the environment, and advancing agriculture, farmers, and rural development.

To effectively implement activities related to environmental protection and climate change response, Nguyen Tran Phuong Ha, Deputy Secretary of the Dong Nai Provincial Youth Union, called on all Youth Union branches to intensify propaganda and education efforts, encouraging members and young people to actively participate in environmental protection and the green transition through practical actions. She emphasized the need to continue effectively implementing the national target program on new rural development by building on and promoting achievements from the 2021-2025 period, with youth proactively taking on tasks suited to their characteristics.
During the launching ceremony, the Provincial Youth Union and the Provincial Vietnam Youth Federation presented 25 trash bins to support waste segregation for households in La Nga commune. They also gave 20 gifts to former youth volunteers facing difficult circumstances.
Following the launching ceremony, activities were carried out, including tree planting; free medical examinations, health consultations, and medicine distribution; gift-giving to former youth volunteers, revolution contributors, policy beneficiary families, and ethnic minority communities; environmental sanitation campaigns; and awareness-raising on waste sorting at the source.

Alongside the launching ceremony jointly organized by the Provincial Youth Union and the Provincial Vietnam Youth Federation, youth unions and youth federations of communes and wards across the province also simultaneously mobilized on August 24 to actively participate in the Peak Day of Joint Action for New Rural Development and the 5th Green Sunday of 2025.
