Long Phuoc Commune was established through the merger of the former Long Phuoc and Bau Can communes. During the past term, the Party Committee, local authorities, and residents promoted solidarity, made concerted efforts to overcome difficulties, and achieved significant and comprehensive results. Notably, the economy experienced steady growth oriented toward industry, trade, services, and agriculture, while budget revenue over the past five years reached VND 305 billion, 374% of the assigned target. Socio-economic infrastructure received focused investment, with total capital reaching VND 62.5 billion.

Building on the achievements attained, this Party Congress of the commune set out specific goals, key tasks, and implementation solutions for the coming period. Two breakthrough areas were identified: (1) prioritizing investment in the development of socio-economic infrastructure, particularly transportation routes, water supply and drainage systems, and cultural institutions, with the goal of transforming Long Phuoc Commune into an urban area by 2030; and (2) promoting the training and development of human resources to meet the demands of digital transformation, centered on three pillars: digital government, digital economy, and digital society. Emphasis will be placed on building and training a contingent of leaders, civil servants, and public employees capable of meeting the requirements for digital government development in the coming years.

The Congress set a target of increasing Party membership by at least 3% annually compared to the total number of existing Party members. Each year, at least 90% of grassroots Party organizations and Party members are expected to fulfill their duties comprehensively. The commune also aims for an average annual increase of 13.4% in total state budget revenue and 10.55% in its average yearly total production value.
Delivering his directive speech, Duong Minh Dung, Member of the Provincial Party Committee’s Standing Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, and Chairman of the Long Thanh Commune People’s Council, acknowledged and highly appreciated the achievements of the Commune Party Committee in recent years. He emphasized that while building the locality requires many resources, the greatest resource for development is its people. The Commune Party Executive Committee must strongly foster a spirit of self-reliance and resilience, turning difficulties into motivation and challenges into aspirations for advancement, with a central focus on strengthening unity.
He also stressed the need to build a communal government apparatus that is truly close to the people, honest, efficient, and effective, in order to improve the quality of public service and better serve the people.

The locality focuses on economic development towards industry–construction, trade–services, and high-tech agriculture, aiming for double-digit growth to transform Long Phuoc Commune into an urban area. This undertaking is identified as a key sector for economic restructuring, generating livelihoods, and increasing local budget revenue. Priority will be given to planning, implementing, completing, and effectively operating key projects such as commercial centers, logistics, and eco-tourism… to create new momentum for the urban appearance of the commune in the new term.
In addition, attention must be paid to preserving and promoting traditional values, revolutionary historical sites, and cultural–spiritual works in association with tourism development. The commune will also accelerate digital transformation in management and administration, while focusing on further improving the efficiency of its Public Administrative Service Center.
