Lieutenant General Nguyen Xuan Son re-elected as Secretary of the Party Committee of the Army Officer Training School No.2

After 2.5 days of urgent, serious, and responsible work, the 16th Congress of the Party Organization of Army Officer Training School No. 2 (Nguyen Hue University) for the 2025–2030 tenure concluded successfully, completing all scheduled contents and programs and holding its closing ceremony on the afternoon of August 20.

Attending the closing session were Colonel Nguyen The Manh, Deputy Director of the Department of Propaganda and Training under the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, Head of the Working Group of the Central Military Commission's Standing Board, and 199 delegates representing more than 3,000 Party members of the school's Party Organization.

All programs and working sessions of the congress were successfully concluded in accordance with requirements and with utmost safety. The congress fulfilled its proposed agenda, including the election of the School Party Executive Committee, which consists of 17 comrades.  During its first session, the Party Executive Committee of the first tenure elected the Party Standing Committee, comprising 5 members. Lieutenant General Nguyen Xuan Son was re-elected as Secretary of the Party Committee.

The congress elected a delegation of six comrades to attend the 12th Congress of the Party Organization of the Vietnam People's Army for the 2025–2030 tenure, scheduled to take place in the near future.

In his closing speech at the congress, Lieutenant General Nguyen Xuan Son, Secretary of the Party Committee and Political Commissar of AOTS2, emphasized that the congress truly served as a political forum, where the intelligence, will, aspirations, and beliefs of the cadres, Party members, and the masses in the school converged. The congress comprehensively completed all proposed agendas and content. The presentations delivered at the congress garnered strong consensus and support, while delegates also participated in discussions, contributing many valuable opinions that clarified, specified, and supplemented the draft documents.

On that basis, the Congress unanimously adopted the resolution and assigned the Party Executive Committee of the school for the 2025–2030 tenure to receive, finalize, supplement, officially promulgate, and organize its implementation.

"The outcomes achieved at the congress fully embodied the spirit of 'Solidarity, Democracy, Innovation, Creativity, and Development', affirming that the 16th Congress of the Party Committee of AOTS2, for the 2025-2030 tenure, was a significant success. This serves as new motivation, renewed confidence, and fresh momentum, providing a crucial foundation for all cadres, Party members, and the school community to thoroughly grasp, implement, and carry out the resolutions in the time ahead, contributing to the establishment of strong and clean Party organizations, a comprehensively robust school that is 'exemplary and outstanding,' and to excellently fulfilling all assigned tasks," Lieutenant General Nguyen Xuan Son emphasized.

The congress called on all cadres, Party members, staff, and cadets of the school to make every effort to implement the resolution in practice and to enhance the quality of education and training, thereby meeting the requirements and tasks in the new context.
