Lac Hong University Robocon Team departs for ABU Robocon 2025

On August 21, Lac Hong University in Dong Nai province held a departure ceremony for its Robocon team as they prepared to compete in the 2025 Asia-Pacific Robot Contest (ABU Robocon 2025).

The LH UDS team (Unstoppable Dream Shot), consisting of 15 members and led by lecturer Nguyen Dinh Dai, will represent Vietnam at the ABU Robocon 2025, scheduled to take place on August 24 in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. The team earned its spot at the international competition after winning the Vietnam Robocon Contest earlier this year.

The ABU Robocon 2025 final round will feature 14 teams from 13 countries and territories across the Asia-Pacific region.

This year's ABU Robocon contest adopts the theme "Basketball Warriors", a highly competitive and strategic format demanding clever tactics from the start. With a clear understanding of the game rules, Team LH UDS committed early on to a focused strategy, prioritizing strength and tight defense to prevent opponents from crossing the court and scoring points.

After eight months of intensive training and robot development under strict discipline and high intensity, the LH UDS team is determined to win the championship at this year's ABU Robocon.

Speaking at the send-off ceremony, Associate Professor Dr Nguyen Vu Quynh, Vice Rector of Lac Hong University, highlighted the university's strong track record in robotics:

"This is our 21st time participating in the Vietnam Robocon competition. Over the years, our teams have won 10 national championships and represented Vietnam at ABU Robocon. At the international level, we have proudly secured three championships, three runner-up titles, and three third-place finishes."

The Vice Rector of Lac Hong University expressed hope that the LH UDS team would build on the achievements of previous teams, compete with confidence, and claim victory in this year's competition. He also emphasized that beyond the contest itself, the event offers students valuable opportunities to gain new knowledge and skills, supporting their personal development and better preparing them for future careers.

After the send-off ceremony, the delegation offered incense at Tran Bien Temple of Literature and the Temple of Nguyen Huu Canh.
