Accordingly, the Party Committee and Military Region 7 Command tasked the Dong Nai Provincial Military Command with selecting Tinh Hoi Pagoda as the site for the facility and planned to initiate another project in the former Dong Nai area, with each project receiving support of 500 million VND.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Colonel Bui Van Sy emphasized that Binh Phuoc Ward is a locality rich in revolutionary tradition. During the resistance wars against French colonialism and American imperialism, this area witnessed numerous resounding victories of the army and people, including the historic triumph of “Dong Xoai – a land of blazing glory.”

In that victory, pagodas, along with monks, nuns, and local Buddhists, made significant contributions both materially and spiritually. They served as shelters for many revolutionary cadres and soldiers, and as storage sites for food and supplies in support of the revolution.
