On the morning of August 19, at Long Thanh International Airport, Vietjet Aviation Joint Stock Company held a groundbreaking ceremony for its Aircraft Maintenance Center (Hangar 3 and 4).
Attending the ceremony were comrades including Nguyen Minh Hoi, Member of the Standing Commission of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee; Duong Minh Dung, Member of the Standing Commission of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Long Thanh Commune People's Council; Nguyen Anh Tuan, Director of the Dong Nai Department of Construction; Do Hong Cam, Deputy Director of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (under the Ministry of Construction); along with leaders of provincial departments and the company's partners.

Vietjet's Hangar No. 3 and No. 4 project, with a total estimated investment capital of VND 1.7 trillion, will establish a modern aircraft maintenance hub meeting international standards and create jobs for 500 - 600 workers.

Covering an area of 8.46 hectares, the project includes maintenance hangars capable of accommodating at least 2 Code E aircraft and 4 Code C aircraft simultaneously, an operations building, high-tech equipment systems, and comprehensive technical infrastructure. The project is expected to become a crucial link in Long Thanh Airport's service value chain. Vietjet aims to substantially complete the project in 2025 and fully finish it by June 2026.

On behalf of provincial leaders, Nguyen Minh Hoi, Member of the Standing Commission of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee, congratulated the project's groundbreaking and affirmed that Dong Nai is committed to creating favorable conditions for the project to be implemented on schedule and safely. The province will continue to accompany investors in developing Long Thanh into a leading international aviation hub in the region.

At the event, Do Hong Cam, Deputy Director of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, emphasized that Vietjet's Aircraft Maintenance Center, once completed, will play a key role in enhancing the country's aircraft maintenance and repair capacity to meet international standards. The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam acknowledged Vietjet's efforts in implementing the project. This initiative is a project that not only demands advanced technical standards in aircraft maintenance but also requires urgent construction progress and timely completion in accordance with the Prime Minister's directives.
