On August 29, the People’s Committee of Phu Vinh commune held a groundbreaking ceremony for the project on upgrading the road leading to Reservoir 116. This is one of the key projects implemented to practically celebrate the success of Party congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Party Congress.

The project is invested by the People’s Committee of Phu Vinh commune. The route connects street 1 in hamlet 5 with street 6 in hamlet 3, with a length of over 1 km and a width of 5.5 m. It will be built with hot asphalt concrete and equipped with a dual-sided drainage system, with a total investment of over 10 billion VND.

The road is being upgraded from a narrow, deteriorated cement-concrete path that failed to ensure synchronous connectivity between residential areas and did not meet local travel and production needs. It often experienced congestion and posed potential traffic safety risks.

The project is implemented under the mode of “State and people working together”. Once completed, the road will contribute to serving travel, transporting goods, expanding trade, creating momentum for socio-economic development, while maintaining and enhancing the criteria of a model new-style rural area. In particular, it will reduce traffic pressure in front of Ly Thuong Kiet Secondary School, creating safer conditions for students traveling to and from school.
