Gia Kiem commune innovates and develops comprehensively and sustainably towards urbanization by 2030

On the morning of August 8, the Party Committee of Gia Kiem Commune held its 1st Congress for the 2025–2030 tenure, with the participation of 120 official delegates representing 722 Party members of the entire commune’s Party Committee.

Attending and directing the congress was Ha Anh Dung, Member of the Standing Committee of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai Province. Also attending was Le Viet Hung, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee’s Inspection Commission.

Gia Kiem Commune was established and began operation on July 1, 2025, on the basis of merging three former communes, namely Quang Trung, Gia Tan 3, and Gia Kiem of Thong Nhat District, former Dong Nai Province. During the last tenure, the Party Committees and people of the communes made great efforts to overcome difficulties and achieved many important results.

Specifically, the economy shifted positively towards increasing the proportion of trade, services, and industry; per capita income reached over VND 92 million per person per year, a sharp increase compared to 2020; inter-commune roads, industrial clusters, and residential areas were expanded, with better regional connectivity; mass mobilization work yielded positive results; and the active role of religious communities in local development was promoted.

With the motto “Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Breakthrough - Development,” the 2025–2030 tenure congress set forth five key tasks and three breakthrough areas, with the overarching goal of building Gia Kiem Commune into a renewed, comprehensively and sustainably developed locality oriented towards urbanization by 2030.

In his directive speech, Ha Anh Dung, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai Province, requested that in the new tenure, the Party Committee of Gia Kiem Commune effectively implement four key task groups about further building a clean and strong Party Committee; promoting  sustainable socio-economic development; improving the quality of culture, society, and people’s livelihoods; and maintaining national defense and security while ensuring social order and safety.

On behalf of the Executive Committee of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee, Ha Anh Dung, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai Province, presented the congress with an embroidered banner bearing the inscription: “Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Breakthrough - Development - Building Gia Kiem Commune towards Urbanization.”
