Foreign tourist couple sends thank-you letter to Tran Bien Ward Police

On August 24, Tran Bien Ward Police in Dong Nai Province reported that the unit had received a thank-you letter from Dominique Momeau and his wife, Canadian tourists who were victims of a phone-snatching incident in the ward.

Earlier, on August 13, Dominique Momeau and his wife, Pham Thi Phuong Thao (a Canadian of Vietnamese origin), were robbed of a handbag by two suspects on a motorbike while strolling along Huynh Van Nghe Street in Tran Bien Ward.

The stolen assets included: a light pink handbag, a light yellow iPhone 16 Pro Max 512GB, a pair of white AirPods, 300 Canadian dollars, and about 9 million Vietnamese dong.

Upon receiving the report, Tran Bien Ward Police promptly reported and coordinated with the Criminal Police Division of Dong Nai Provincial Police to investigate and track down the suspects.

Through professional measures, the police arrested two individuals responsible for the robbery and recovered all the stolen property, which was returned to Dominique Momeau.

Deeply moved by the police force's swift efforts to investigate and apprehend the perpetrators, Dominique Momeau wrote a letter of appreciation to the police.

In his letter, Dominique Momeau wrote: "We are truly moved and deeply grateful for the sense of responsibility and dedication shown by the Tran Bien Ward Police. This is not only an outstanding display of professional conduct but also a vivid testament to the Vietnamese police force's devotion to serving the people. Such timely and effective support has left a lasting impression on foreign visitors, reflecting the professionalism, dedication, and strong sense of responsibility of the People's Public Security of Vietnam."
