Enhancing the effectiveness of the linkage chains in livestock production

For years, Dong Nai province has prioritized the development of integrated livestock production chains, covering breeding, processing, and distribution.

As a result, the province has established linkage chains in safe livestock production and consumption. Specifically, Dong Nai is home to 35 pork and processed pork product chains, collectively supplying approximately 550,000 tons of pork to the market annually. This accounts for over 65.5% of the province’s total pork output.

In the poultry sector, 10 chicken meat linkage chains have been formed across the province, primarily including the closed-loop supply chains run by major corporations and enterprises. These chains produce around 143,000 tons of chicken meat per year, representing nearly 50.4% of Dong Nai’s total chicken meat production. A standout example is the processed chicken meat chain operated by Koyu & Unitek Co., Ltd. (based in Long Binh ward), which produces about 22,500 tons of chicken annually, equal to 13% of the province’s total. Of this, 320 tons of processed chicken meat are exported monthly to Japan, equivalent to 780 tons of live-weight chicken. Another major player is CPV Food Binh Phuoc Co., Ltd. (based in Chon Thanh ward), which operates a high-capacity slaughtering facility capable of processing 150,000 chickens per day. The company produces about 135,000 tons of chicken meat annually, with a processing capacity of 1,000 tons per month.

In addition, the province has six chicken egg supply chains that deliver over 360 million eggs to the market annually, along with one quail egg supply chain supplying about 48 million eggs each year for both domestic consumption and export.
