Enhancing citizens’ satisfaction in accessing public services

On the afternoon of August 25, the Dong Nai provincial Department of Science and Technology held an online conference connected with 95 communes and wards across the province to discuss solutions for improving the 766 Index – the set of indicators on Public and Business Service Delivery, approved by the Prime Minister under Decision No. 766/QD-TTg dated June 23, 2022 to assess the quality of leadership, administration, and the level of satisfaction of citizens and businesses in accessing public services.

The conference, chaired by Deputy Director of the Dong Nai Department of Science and Technology Nguyen Minh Quang, was attended by representatives of the Department of Home Affairs, the Department of Justice, the Provincial Public Administration Service Center, telecommunications providers, and leaders from all 95 communes and wards in the province

Discussions focused on addressing difficulties faced by localities in the operation of the two-tier local government model and in implementing administrative procedure reform tasks. At the same time, the conference discussed efforts to actively improve service quality for citizens and businesses, particularly in the post-restructuring phase of the two-tier government system, etc.

In his concluding remarks, Deputy Director of the Dong Nai Department of Science and Technology Nguyen Minh Quang stressed: the Department will continue reviewing and working with software developers to build, standardize data information fields in order to reduce the time required to fill in data on the system. Instead, available databases, including the National Population Database, will be utilized to help citizens and businesses complete administrative procedures quickly and conveniently, etc.

The Department of Science and Technology will also continue to organize activities and training programs on implementing online administrative procedures for staff at communes and wards. At the same time, agencies and localities need to pay close attention to key factors to improve 766 Index scores, such as online applications, online payments, electronic delivery of results, and timely processing of dossiers, among others; enhancing the satisfaction of citizens and businesses and strengthening communication on administrative reform, etc.
