According to Vo Tan Duc, Chairman of the Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee, the Ministry of Construction has recently handed over the management of road infrastructure assets for four national highways to the provincial authorities: National Highway 1, National Highway 20, National Highway 51, and National Highway 56, with a total length of 150 kilometers. The condition of these highways has significantly deteriorated, particularly National Highway 51, which is in urgent need of upgrades and repairs.
The estimated total cost for comprehensive repairs of national highways passing through the province is over 1,300 billion VND. Of this, National Highway 1 is expected to cost 141 billion VND, National Highway 20 about 317 billion VND, National Highway 51 approximately 842 billion VND, and National Highway 56 around 65 billion VND.

In light of the province's limited budget, mainly due to its focus on investing in regional connectivity transport routes, the province respectfully requests the Government to consider providing 1,365 billion VND from the central budget to upgrade and repair the aforementioned national highways.
In addition to the above-mentioned funding request, the Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee has issued Document No. 3388/UBND-KTNS dated April 1, 2025, proposing financial support for several projects (including the Cat Lai Bridge, Ma Da Bridge, and the connecting road from Ma Da Bridge to Ring Road 4 – Ho Chi Minh City) and Document No. 2153/UBND-KTN dated July 31, 2025, proposing the application of a special investor selection mechanism to choose an investor for the jet fuel pipeline system from the source port to the boundary of Long Thanh International Airport.
Previously, on June 6, the Provincial People's Committee issued Official Dispatch No. 7093/UBND-KTN to the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Construction, proposing the allocation of funding for the province to carry out repairs on the national highways running through the area.
