On August 28, Dong Nai Department of Home Affairs (DoHA) held a gathering to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the State organization sector (August 28, 1945 - 2025) and the 49th anniversary of the Dong Nai’s Home Affairs sector (1976–2025).

Over the past 80 years of establishment and development, the State organization sector has consistently played a key role in advising the Party and the State on policies and solutions to build an apparatus meeting the demands of each historical period.

In February 1976, Dong Nai province was formed through the merger of Bien Hoa, Tan Hoa, Ba Ria, and Long Khanh provinces. On March 24, 1976, the Provincial People’s Committee’s Organization Commission (the predecessor of the Department of Home Affairs) was established, marking a new stage of development. Since then, Dong Nai’s Home Affairs sector has made remarkable progress in terms of scale, functions, and the quality of its workforce.

In 2025, Dong Nai’s Home Affairs sector enters a new phase as it is merged with the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, amidst the continuous unification and mergence process of the Departments of Home Affairs of both former Dong Nai and Binh Phuoc. This move reflects an inevitable trend toward building a multi-sectoral management apparatus, covering comprehensive policies on people and society.
