The Department of Home Affairs of Dong Nai province has just issued Plan No. 010/KH-SNV on organizing the Contest “Communication on gender equality, prevention and response to gender-based violence” in 2025.
The purpose of the contest is to promote, disseminate, and update legal information and policies on gender equality; create change, raise awareness, and form habits for students from school age on practicing gender equality, narrowing the gender gap, and creating conditions and opportunities for girls, women, and men to participate and enjoy equality in all areas of social life. At the same time, the contest communicates basic knowledge about policies and laws related to gender equality, prevention, and response to gender-based violence.
Participants include primary, lower secondary, and upper secondary school students across Dong Nai province. They will compete in three categories: a video presentation and public speaking contest, featuring 3–5-minute clips uploaded to the Fanpage and YouTube channel of the Dong Nai Children's House for public voting; a multiple-choice and essay test on legal knowledge related to gender equality, domestic violence prevention, and situational response skills; and a creative AI-assisted drawing competition with themes on gender equality and the prevention of gender-based violence, encouraging creativity and clear message delivery.
The contest is expected to take place from August to September 2025, with the closing and awards ceremony held at the Dong Nai Children's House, located at 159 Cach Mang Thang Tam, Tran Bien ward, Dong Nai province.
The Organizing Committee of the contest is chaired by a leader of the Department of Home Affairs; the Deputy Chairs are the Head of the Administrative Reform and Office - Archives Division of the Department of Home Affairs and the Director of the Dong Nai Children's House.
