Dong Nai focuses on implementing tasks in industry and trade

On August 26, Nguyen Kim Long, Member of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chair of the Provincial People's Committee, held a working session with the Department of Industry and Trade to review the province’s performance over the first seven months of 2025 and discuss directions and tasks for the remaining months of the year. Also attending the meeting was Vu Ngoc Long, Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Director of the Dong Nai Department of Industry and Trade.

According to the Department of Industry and Trade, in the first seven months of 2025, many indicators of industrial and trade development in Dong Nai recorded significant growth compared to the same period in 2024, with the industrial production index rising by 13.36% year-on-year. Total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue increased by nearly 18.3% compared to the same period last year.

Import-export turnover posted growth of over 16-17% year-on-year. After the provincial merger, production, business, and import-export activities across the province have remained stable. Goods in the market are abundant and diverse, with supply effectively meeting people’s consumption needs.

Nguyen Kim Long, Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee, acknowledged the achievements of the province’s industry and trade sector in the first seven months of 2025. At the same time, he emphasized that the Department of Industry and Trade must continue its efforts and focus on implementing key tasks to contribute to the province’s socio-economic development, and to enhance the sector’s role and contribution toward the province’s goal of achieving double-digit growth.
