According to reports, the 8 border communes are home to 34,849 households with more than 134,500 residents. In recent times, especially after nearly 40 days of implementing the two-tier local government model, Party committees, local authorities, and armed forces have consistently focused on maintaining peace along the border, closely coordinating with neighboring border provinces, and strengthening both the border defense posture and the “people's heart and mind posture” to firmly safeguard boundary lines and border markers.
Among the 8 communes, a total of 3 communes, including Loc Thanh, Loc Tan, and Thien Hung, have fully eradicated poverty. Bu Gia Map Commune, however, still witnesses the highest poverty rate, exceeding 2.6%.

For communes still facing difficulties in personnel, the Department of Home Affairs is requested to advise the province on a unified process and regulations for staff reassignment, accompanied by appropriate salary and bonus policies in line with regulations. It should also study and propose to provincial leaders support policies for reassigned officials, ensuring the livelihoods of civil servants and public employees so they can work with peace of mind.
