Building Song Ray into a comprehensive, sustainable, and model new-style rural commune

On the afternoon of August 8th, the Party Committee of Song Ray Commune held the official session of its first Congress for 2025–2030 term. Attending and directing the congress was Tran Trung Nhan, Member of the Standing Committee of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee’s Inspection Commission.

Song Ray Commune was established through the administrative merger of the former Lam San and Song Ray communes. It has a population of over 31,000 and covers an area of 65.6 km².

For the 2025–2030 term, the Party Committee of Song Ray Commune has set the goal of building a clean and strong Party organization and political system; effectively mobilizing resources; fostering sustainable economic growth linked with cultural and social development; promoting digital transformation and green transition; safeguarding national defense and security; and striving to achieve the standards of a model new-style rural commune by the end of the term.

The Congress approved 18 key targets and tasks across various areas such as Party building, government operations, socio-economic development, environmental protection, and national defense–security. It also identified 3 breakthroughs: reforming and improving the quality of cadre work by building a professional, innovative, creative, efficient cadre team that meets new requirements; developing ecological and organic agriculture in conjunction with eco-tourism; and focusing resources on infrastructure development, especially transportation.

In his directive speech, Tran Trung Nhan, Member of the Standing Committee of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee’s Inspection Commission, urged the Party Executive Committee of Song Ray Commune to strengthen solidarity and unity across the entire Party organization and political system, following the motto “Solidarity is the truth of all eras.” He emphasized the need for each Party Committee member and the collective Executive Committee to share responsibility and maintain unity from top to bottom, with seamless coordination across all levels in all fields and activities; to accelerate administrative reform, digital transformation, and socio-economic development; and to enhance the Party’s leadership capacity and combat strength. He also called for active contribution to the draft documents of the 14th National Party Congress and the Dong Nai Provincial Party Congress. After the congress, the Commune Party Executive Committee must quickly and decisively implement the goals and targets set out in the Congress Resolution, ensuring “clear tasks, clear people, clear responsibilities, clear timelines, clear roadmaps, and clear deliverables.”

On this occasion, the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee presented the Congress with an honorary banner bearing the message: “Solidarity - Discipline - Innovation - Creativity - Building Song Ray into a commune with comprehensive, sustainable development ”
