A total of 23 men's and women's basketball teams across the province are competing at the Dong Nai Basketball Club Championship 2025, which is being held from August 22 to 31 at the basketball court of Asia Bilingual Primary, Secondary, and High School.

On the evening of August 23, at the basketball court of Asia Bilingual Primary, Secondary and High School (ABC EDU, Tran Bien ward), the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dong Nai province held the opening ceremony of the Dong Nai Basketball Club Championship 2025.

According to the organizers, the tournament provides basketball clubs across the province with an opportunity to compete, gain experience, learn from one another, and improve their skills, proficiency, and experience in both training and competition.

This year's tournament, taking place from August 22 to 31, unites nearly 300 athletes from 23 basketball teams (18 men's teams and 5 women's teams) representing clubs from communes and wards throughout the province. The competition includes two categories: men's and women's events. Among these, 18 men's teams are organized into four groups. The men's teams compete in a single round-robin format with points awarded, after which eight teams, including the top two from each group, will progress to the quarterfinal knockout stage. In the quarterfinals, eight teams draw lots to form knockout pairs, with four teams advancing to the semifinals. The two semifinal winners will compete in the final. Meanwhile, the five women's teams, AON, WBH, Luong The Vinh, Ngo Quyen, and ALPACA, will play in a single round-robin format to determine the first, second, and third place rankings.

Following the opening ceremony was the match between host team ABC DSQUAD and Long Khanh KBS in Group B of the men’s tournament.

Apart from the opening match, five matches were held earlier that day, including BAF GOLEY vs. LHU and Lac Hong Bilingual vs. HNS (Group A, men's), DBC vs. Tan Trieu (Group B), and Luong The Vinh vs. Ngo Quyen and AON vs. WBH (Group F, women's). Additionally, on August 22, four matches were also played in Groups A, B, and C of the men's tournament.

The tournament is expected to conclude on the evening of August 31 with the men's final and the award ceremony.
