(ĐN) – On July 12, a delegation led by Standing Deputy Secretary Ton Ngoc Hanh of Dong Nai provincial Party Committee paid a working visit to Xuan Loc commune.

During the visit, the delegation surveyed the operations of the commune-level Public Administrative Service Center and listened to a report on the initial implementation of local governance after Xuan Loc was newly established by merging the former communes of Xuan Truong, Xuan Tho, Suoi Cat, Xuan Hiep, and Gia Ray town.

At the working session, local leaders proposed that the province issue guidance on appointing additional members to the Standing Committee and the Executive Committee of the local Party organization, especially for unfilled positions. They also called for more delegated authority to commune-level staff in handling administrative procedures at the public service center.

In her remarks, Standing Deputy Secretary Ton Ngoc Hanh acknowledged the efforts of Xuan Loc communal Party Committee and local officials, who have overcome early-stage challenges to ensure smooth governance and quality public service delivery following the merger.
She emphasized the need to review and repurpose surplus infrastructure for effective use, such as converting former government buildings into cultural houses, schools, or community activity spaces.
Looking ahead, she urged the commune to begin preparing for the upcoming Party Congress at the grassroots level. In drafting the congress documents, she advised aligning local development strategies with the broader socio-economic planning of the province. In particular, she pointed to the eco-tourism potential of Chua Chan mountain and encouraged Xuan Loc to actively plan supporting tourism services such as restaurants, hotels, and entertainment zones. She also recommended promoting high-tech agriculture and developing quality OCOP products to serve visitors and stimulate the local economy.

Earlier the same day, Ms. Hanh also visited Xuan Hoa commune, where she surveyed the local public administrative service center and met with the communal Party Standing Committee to assess post-merger operations and infrastructure conditions.

To mark the upcoming 78th War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day (July 27), the Standing Deputy Secretary and the delegation laid wreaths and offered incense at the Xuan Loc Martyrs’ Memorial Temple to honor fallen heroes.
