A closer look at the road and bridge linking Dong Nai and HCM city before opening

(DN) – Component 1A, the first section of the Ring Road 3 – Ho Chi Minh City project, is nearing completion and is expected to open temporarily for traffic starting August 19, 2025. Among its key structures, the Nhon Trach bridge crossing the Dong Nai river plays a vital role in enhancing transport connectivity between Dong Nai and Ho Chi Minh city.

On Ho Chi Minh City side, after crossing the Nhon Trach bridge, the connecting road will link directly to the Ho Chi Minh City – Long Thanh – Dau Giay expressway.

Under the temporary traffic plan for Component 1A on the Ho Chi Minh City side, branches A, D, and E of the interchange connecting to the Ho Chi Minh City – Long Thanh – Dau Giay expressway are expected to be completed by December 2025. Therefore, from August 19 to December 2025, vehicles will use a 300-meter temporary road. After December 2025, traffic will be routed through ramps A, D, and E.

At-grade intersections will be maintained at three existing cross streets (Provincial Roads 25B, 769, and Ly Tu Trong street) via temporary roads, with traffic managed through a system of signs and signal lights.
