(ĐN)- On May 11, Dong Nai province’s high-level delegation led by Permanent Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Ho Thanh Son, paid a working visit to Portugal.
On the first day, the delegation held a working session with the Vietnamese Embassy in Portugal and the Portugal-Vietnam Friendship Association. The meeting was attended by Vietnamese Ambassador to Portugal Nguyen Manh Thang and Chairman José Pedro de Sousa Vieira of the Portugal-Vietnam Friendship Association.

During the meeting, Dong Nai officials shared an overview of the province’s socio-economic development, infrastructure planning, investment policies, and key advantages for foreign investors.
Dong Nai has actively pursued international cooperation since 1995, signing 41 memoranda of understanding (MOUs) and partnership agreements with 12 countries, including 14 renewals.
The signing of a new MOU with Vila Nova de Gaia during this visit is expected to open opportunities for enhanced cooperation between Dong Nai and Portuguese localities, especially in areas of mutual strength.
The Dong Nai delegation expressed hopes for continued support from the Vietnamese Embassy and the Portugal-Vietnam Friendship Association in promoting partnerships in trade, logistics, tourism, healthcare, education, culture, and people-to-people diplomacy.
