For households involved in One Commune One Product (OCOP) program and high-tech agricultural development, the maximum loan amount is VND 200 million, with an interest rate of 6.6% per year and a repayment period not exceeding 120 months. Borrowers must legally reside in Dong Nai and be verified by local authorities.
In addition, businesses, cooperatives, and cooperative alliances may access loans of up to VND 4 billion per project for business operations in organic or high-tech agriculture. These loans require collateral and offer an interest rate of 6.6% per year, equivalent to that for poor households, with a maximum term of 10 years.
The Dong Nai branch of Vietnam Bank for Social Policies (VBSP) will coordinate with relevant departments and local governments to review loan applicants, assess capital demand, and ensure timely and appropriate disbursement. The program aims not only to help people access affordable capital for production and livelihood improvement but also to promote sustainable agricultural development, especially in the fields of OCOP and high-tech farming.
Nguyen Minh Phuc, a farmer from Long Khanh city who is implementing a melon farming model in greenhouses, expressed hope that the program would help him expand his operations and invest in modern equipment. He also called for simpler procedures and stronger support from VBSP to make preferential loans more accessible and effective for local producers.
