(ĐN)- In the first quarter of 2025, enterprises in Dong Nai produced over 538 thousand tonnes of yarn, up more than 3.3 percent year-on-year, according to the provincial Statistics Office.
Of this amount, nearly 22 percent was exported while over 78 percent was consumed domestically. Approximately 117 thousand tonnes of yarn were exported, generating nearly 315 million USD in revenue. Dong Nai’s yarn has been shipped to over 50 countries and territories, with key markets including the US, South Korea, and China. Despite flat or declining export turnover in recent years due to a focus on the domestic market, yarn output has continued to grow steadily by 5 to 8 percent annually. Increasingly, local textile manufacturers are sourcing yarn domestically to boost localization, cut costs, shorten delivery times, and secure material supply.
