Dong Nai calls for Japanese investment in hi-tech industry

(ĐN)- On April 24, Dong Nai provincial People’s Committee in cooperation with the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan, Sojitz Corporation, Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), and ASEAN-Japan Center (AJC) held an investment promotion conference in Tokyo to call for local firms’ investment to areas of green growth, high technology, emission reduction, organic and environmentally friendly agriculture.

Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Hoang of the provincial People’s Committee, who accompanied Secretary Nguyen Hong Linh in his working visit to Japan, highlighted potential and advantages of Dong Nai, including favourable location, dynamic economic development, strong infrastructure system, smooth transportation systems, and abundant human resources. She said that Dong Nai takes Japanese investors as a great potential for the local socio-economic development.

Meanwhile, Mr Sho Hiromitsu, a representative from JETRO, stressed Dong Nai's strengths in attracting investment.

At the event, Japanese enterprises also showed their interest in investment attraction policies of Dong Nai, and raised many questions for local leaders.

Speaking at the conference, Secretary Nguyen Hong Linh of the provincial Party Committee expressed his hope that the conference will provide a panorama picture on Dong Nai, helping the locality attract more Japanese investments in hi-tech indutry, trade and services to achieve the province’s economic development goals.
