(ĐN)- Dong Nai saw a year-on-year sharp decrease in cases of dengue fever and foot-hand-mouth disease (HFMD), according to the provincial Health Department.

Accordingly, the province reported nearly 1,500 cases of dengue fever in the last five months, including 860 children, declining 47.8 percent against the same period in 2022. So far, three deaths caused by dengue fever have been reported this year, similar to those of last year.

In May, the province reported 200 cases of HFMD in November, a monthly increase of 150 percent. So far this year, the province has recorded 415 cases of the disease, a year-on-year decrease of 55.8 percent, with no deaths.
