Over VND320b spent to support ASF-affected pig breeders

(ĐN) - According to Dong Nai provincial People's Committee, the African swine fever (ASF) virus has affected more than 5,000 households and pig farms in the locality.

(ĐN) - According to Dong Nai provincial People’s Committee, the African swine fever (ASF) virus has affected more than 5,000 households and pig farms in the locality. So far, more than 420,500 pigs have been destroyed with total loss of over VND620 billion.

Accordingly, the province has spent VND320 billion to support 2,245 ASF-affected pig breeders.

Dong Nai's total pig herd has shrunk more than 1 million due to ongoing African swine fever (ASF) disease.

Chairman Cao Tien Dung of the provincial People’s Committee suggested the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and relevant agencies to strictly monitor the burial of pigs, instructing local breeders to take measures to stop the spread of the disease.
