More than 1.5 million foreign visitors made a trip to Vietnam during September, according to information released by the General Statistics Office.

 

 

More than 1.5 million foreign visitors made a trip to Vietnam during September, according to information released by the General Statistics Office.

September represents the fourth month since the beginning of the year and the second consecutive month that has seen an increase in the number of foreign tourists arriving in the country.

The number of visitors to Vietnam during the first nine months of the year has experienced an annual rise of 10.8 per cent to 12.9 million.

The majority of foreign visitors in September arrived in the nation by road, showing an increase of 23.5 per cent, while arrivals by air rose by 8.3 per cent. The number of foreign travelers to the country by sea fell by 0.6 per cent.

September also witnessed the arrival of over 100,000 visitors from Asia, up 12.5 per cent in comparison with the same period last year, while the number of guests coming from Europe stood at approximately 160,000, a surge of 5.3 per cent.

Visitors from America reached 737,000,  up 12.5 per cent, while tourists from Australia were at 329,000, down 1.4 per cent.
