(ĐN)- The total number of COVID-19 cases in Dong Nai reached more than 22,309 as 738 new infections were reported on August 28 morning.
Bien Hoa city led the province in the number of new cases again with 502, followed by Vinh Cuu district (199), Nhon Trach district (8).
Out of the local cases, 13 were reported as community infections; the remainders were found at quarantine areas and locked down zones in the locality.
On the same day, 9 more fatalities were confirmed, lifting the death toll to 170
So far, a total of 694,444 people have been vaccinated against COVID-19 in Dong Nai, accounting for 30.8 percent of the province’s population ages 18 and above.
Meanwhile, the province provided relief aid for 50,912 freelancers with a total amount of VND76.36 billion.
