Since 2102 until now, the province has made many efforts to implement poverty reduction programs. Particularly, it provided preferential loans to poor and near-poor households, give health insurance cards to needy people, offer free medical check-ups and treatments, help cover tuition fees for disadvantaged students, build charity houses, provide vocational training to laborers, etc.
Over the past 7 years, the programs helped more than 40,500 poor households and over 5,500 near-poor households escape from poverty, contributing to building new-style rural construction in the locality.
Dong Nai is the first locality nationwide to complete the programme on building new-style rural areas.
