Nhat Nghe Tinh (Master One Trade) Bookcase of the Saigon Times Foundation, an offshoot of the Saigon Times Group, in partnership with the Supporting Committee for Vietnamese People in Germany last week donated books to 2,200 students and teachers of Hoa Binh Vocational College in Dong Nai province.
Nhat Nghe Tinh (Master One Trade) Bookcase of the Saigon Times Foundation, an offshoot of the Saigon Times Group, in partnership with the Supporting Committee for Vietnamese People in Germany last week donated books to 2,200 students and teachers of Hoa Binh Vocational College in Dong Nai province.
Trinh Thanh Toan, deputy principal of the college, said the school was established in July by upgrading Hoa Binh Vocational Intermediate School. Most students at the school are from poor families in southern provinces and remote areas.
The college with 2,200 students including 1,200 boarding students provides training in various fields such as auto repair, electricity, mechanical engineering, refrigeration, carpentry, computer, apparel and tourism.
Many students of the college are also sent to Japan for internships every year and most of them are admitted to Japanese companies after graduation.
Pham Nam Huong, manager of Nhat Nghe Tinh (Master One Trade) Bookcase, expressed his hope to team up with the school in vocational training programs based on principles of the bookcase.
