JICA hopes to speed up water drainage project in Bien Hoa city

Accordingly, for the phase II of the Nhon Trach water supply project, which is being carried out by the Dong Nai Water Supply JS Company, the investor is speeding the consultancy unit to complete design and dossiers to invite bids. Consultation and design activities, carried out by some Japanese businesses, are expected to finish by the end of 2017. Later, the construction package deal will be put out to tender.

As for the water drainage and wastewater treatment project in Bien Hoa city, Shu Kitamura, a representative of the JICA Vietnam Office, said the loan agreement for this project will be signed in late July 2017, adding his hope that right after the agreement are signed, JICA Vietnam will sign MoU with Dong Nai province to carry out the project soon.

Dong Nai Management Board for Projects said the consultancy and design partner selection for the Bien Hoa project is set to complete and provide to JICA in November this year.

Vice Chairman Nguyen Quoc Hung of the provincial People’s Committee affirmed that the province has taken interest in the project and hope to deploy it soon. All of the procedures have been carried out by the provincial departments and sectors. He also hoped to receive active support from JICA.
