(ĐN)- Over the past five years, 2012-2016, Dong Nai Fatherland Front Committee and its agencies have made efforts to implement ethnic policies.
In this period, the committee raised more than VND45.6 billion to build and upgrade 119 charity houses, provided 70,465 health insurance cards to ethnic minority people and awarded scholarships to tens of thousand of their children, supported capital for more than 2,000 households.
Moreover, the Front and Committee for Ethnic Affairs cooperated with other units to present more than 100 breeding goats for ethnic minority families and upgrade rural traffic roads.
Currently, the province is continuing to implement the policy for development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas, especially in Dinh Quan and Tan Phu districts.
