(ĐN)- In 2016, non-governmental organisations (NGOs) have implemented 29 programmes, projects and aid packages totaling more than VND29 billion.
The figure was revealed at a conference in Dong Nai on May 10 to review the NGOs aid mobilization in 2016 and set out tasks for 2017.
Such support has helped the locality handle a range of issues, particularly poverty reduction and the improvement of local people’s living standards.
At the conference, Dong Nai Union of Friendship Organizations asked related departments, agencies and localities continue efforts to effectively implement solutions put forwards in the promotion program on mobilizing NGO sponsorship this year.
