(ĐN) - On March 22, Dong Nai Department of Natural Resources and Environment in cooperation with Hydrological and Meteorological Station organized a meeting to response to the World Water Day 2017 and World Meteorological Day (March 23).

March 22 was chosen as the World Water Day at the UN Conference on Environment and Development in 1992 in Brazil, aiming to call for the stronger efforts of the world community in effectively managing water resources, especially fresh water.

This year’s theme for Water Day “Wastewater” aims to raising public awareness of water pollution mitigation, water resources protection, economical and effective exploitation and use of water resources.

Understanding Clouds is the theme of World Meteorological Day 2017 to highlight the enormous importance of clouds for weather climate and water. Clouds are central to weather observations and forecasts. Clouds are one of the key uncertainties in the study of climate change:  we need to better understand how clouds affect the climate and how a changing climate will affect clouds. Clouds play a critical role in the water cycle and shaping the global distribution of water resources.
