(ĐN) - On December 12, the National Traffic Safety Committee, Dong Nai Traffic Safety Committee and Department of Education and Training in cooperation with Honda Vietnam presented 1,000 standard helmets to pupils in Thong Nhat B primary school in Bien Hoa city.
Speaking at the event, a representative from the national committee for road safety said that an average of 1,900 children die every year from traffic accidents; therefore, it’s necessary to form helmet habits among primary level students.
Campaigns to raise public awareness of the significance of wearing helmets for self-protection is essential, stressed he.
On this occasion, Honda VN's staffs taught children the proper way to wear helmets in order to protect themselves against injuries.
