(ĐN) –Dong Nai Farmers Association held a conference on December 12 to review the implementation of the project on reforming and enhancing the effectiveness of the Supporting Fund for Farmers from 2011 to 2015.
Over the past five years, the association in cooperation with Bank for Social Policies provided loans totaling more than VND2 trillion for nearly 39,500 farmer households across the province, helping them develop production and improve their income.
In the period, the fund raised VND758 billion to provide preferential loans for rural farmers, contributing to reducing poverty and building new rural areas.
In the 2016-2020 period, the fund will continue to pay attention to ensuring credit quality and efficient use of capital, increase capacity for staff at all levels and pushing forward information and technology application.
