(ĐN)- According to Dong Nai Department of Planning and Investment, as many as 60 percent of the province’s rural population have access to clean water by the end of 2016, exceeding 4 percent of the plan set by the province.
The province targets to invest nearly VND3,300 billion into 41 clean water supply projects in the period 2016-2020. Of the total, some VND2,600 billion will be mobilized from enterprises and locals. In 2016 alone, the province raised around VND543 billion for water projects.
So far, 9 concentrated water supply projects with a total cost of VND935 billion in Xuan Loc, Long Thanh, Tan Phu, Vinh Cuu, Cam My and Long Khanh town have been invested by enterprises in the form of socialization. Besides, the province has deployed to build 7 other projects from budget capital.
