(ĐN)- The Management Council of Vietnamese Women’s Award Fund under the Vietnam Women’s Union has selected Ms. Do Ngoc Thanh Phuong, Head of Department for Standards, Metrology, and Quality under Dong Nai provincial Department of Science and Technology, for the 2016 Vietnamese Women’s Award.

Phuong was chosen for the award for her outstanding performance in combating illegal petrol trading as well her technological measures in preventing this kind of fraud.
In addition, Phuong also brought out technological measures to detect and prevent dozens of gold trading businesses who commit in trading under-quality gold jewelry in Dong Nai and HCM city. This year, she was awarded Prime Minister’s certificate for her contribution in combating petrol trading fraud.
This year ward will be presented to 6 collectives and 10 individuals. The award acknowledges their efforts to overcome difficulties in life and support for others in the community, contributing to promoting gender equality and women’s advancement in Vietnam. This is the first time one woman in Dong Nai province to receive such a noble award.
The award ceremony will be held in Ha Noi on October 18.
