VND50 mil donated to 'For Vietnam's sea and islands' Fund

(ĐN)- Dong Nai provincial Military Headquarters on October 10 received VND50 million donated by Hanh Chieu Monastery to the province's "For Vietnam's sea and islands" Fund.

(ĐN)- Dong Nai provincial Military Headquarters on October 10 received VND50 million donated by Hanh Chieu Monastery to the province's “For Vietnam’s sea and islands” Fund.

As far as known, the money was donated by Buddhist monks and nuns as well as followers of the monastery to the fund which aims to share difficulties with officers and soldiers who are on duty to defend sacred sea and island sovereignty.

According to the provincial Military Headquarters, the fund has so far raised VND10.7 billion from more than 100 organizations and thousands of individuals from across the country as other countries.

From the money, the provincial Military Headquarters, the permanent agency of the fund, has suggested the province’s leaders to send delegations to visit and present gifts worth over VND7.2 billion to forces of Navy, Coastal Guard, Fisheries Surveillance, and fishermen.
