(ĐN)- According to Bien Hoa Industrial Parks’ Labor Union,1,300 out of 1,800 workers who were laid off after Yupoong Vietnam Co.’s factories had been damaged in a fire in September are employed to work at enterprises.
Particularly, 800 of them were admitted to work at three companies in Bien Hoa Industrial Park 2, namely Namyang Garment, Fashion Garments and Texma Vietnam while 500 others were employed to work at KL Texwell Vina Company in Trang Bom district-based Bau Xeo Industrial Park. Presently, some enterprises in Dong Nai and HCM city are negotiating to employ another 500 workers.
Meanwhile, the Yupoong Vietnam Co.’s trade union said that 7 laid-off female workers, who are in pregnancy period but they do not have enough conditions to benefit from social insurance, are being supported to ensure their interests.
