(ĐN)- Long Khanh town’s Youth Union and Long Khanh Electricity on September 28 launched a campaign to replace incandescent lamps with compact fluorescent light bulbs for the poor in the locality.

After the launching ceremony, work started to replace the old bulbs for poor households in Bau Tram commune. As planned, the installation program for poor people in the town will last through September 30.

A total of 450 poor households in Long Khanh will benefit from this program, with 930 3U compact fluorescent light bulbs needed to replace and newly install. These new bulbs will help poor households reduce the electricity consumption in their homes and save their monthly power costs.

The program costs VND60 million, funded by Dong Nai Power Company through the annual electricity saving financial source.
