(ĐN)- More than 200 delegates representing members of the Dong Nai Journalists Association (DNJA) gathered together for the DAJA’s 9th Congress, which officially opened at Dong Nai Radio and Television on September 18.
The event was also attended by Deputy Secretaries of the provincial Party Committee Tran Van Tu and Phan Thi My Thanh, Vice Chairman of People’s Committee Tran Minh Phuc, Chairman of Fatherland Front Committee Vy Van Vu.

The congress looked back at the association’s accomplishments made during the 2010-2015 working term and honour its contributions to building press firms and developing the province.
DNJA shortcomings were also be pointed out at the congress, followed by a discussion on setting goals, tasks and solutions for the next tenure.
In the new tenure, the journalism sector will work towards the provincial goal of becoming an industrialised and modernised province by 2020.
Accordingly, Dong Nai press will further focus on training personnel and developing human resources in order to serve better the diverse information needs of readers or viewers as well as meet the public’s increasing demand.
Earlier, the congress elected a 15-member executive committee for the 2015-2020 term. Mr. Nguyen Ton Hoan, Editor-in-Chef of Lao Dong Dong Nai newspaper, was elected Chairman of Dong Nai Journalist’s Association.
